Pickle Pizza: Duggar Pizza Party Features Pickle-Covered Pies And Seven Pounds Of Cheese
The Duggar family has never been shy about their love of pickles. In fact, it may be safe to say, you are not a Duggar unless you love pickles. However, on the latest episode of 19 Kids and Counting, viewers caught a glimpse of an unusual recipe involving the Duggars favorite snack.
In the episode, the Duggars had a pizza party which disclosed their favorite pizza toppings. The family included normal pizza topping favorites such as sausage, pepperoni, cheese and tomato sauce. However, some of the pizza pies also featured slices of pickles. The Duggars could be seen throwing pickle slices on top of the pizza just before placing it in the oven.
People Magazine notes that pickles are beloved in the Duggar house so the inclusion of them on pizzas is not all that surprising. James Duggar notes during the episode that pickle pizza is a “Duggar thing.”
“That’s a Duggar thing, we just all love pickles.”
If pickle pizza wasn’t enough to make you turn your nose to a Duggar pizza party, Josie Duggar’s special pizza baking method may do it for you. Josie could be seen biting pieces of her toppings off with her teeth and then licking them before sticking them on her “special” pizza. Michelle notes that Josie’s pizzas must be labeled because it is her “very own.”
“She likes to lick and stick. I am not going to eat Josie’s pizza. I am labeling it. We will all know which one is hers. It will be her very own.”
Hollywood Life notes that it isn’t just pickles that the Duggar family goes through quickly. For one pizza party, the Duggars used seven pounds of cheese and eight pounds of tomato sauce.

Though the pickle pizza was considered somewhat strange. It was not the only odd thing noted on the most recent 19 Kids and Counting episode. Some people found the segment which featured Jim Bob and Michelle showing Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald how to properly kiss a little weird.
