Authorities in Georgia are looking for Barbara "Maegan" Witt, a 19-year-old girl who may be in the company of a wanted murder suspect. An NBC News affiliate reports that her loved ones last heard from her on Saturday, which was through a snarky text message she had sent her mother. Cassie Witt says that she'd been arguing with her daughter.

"The last text I actually got from her was, 'Whatever, mom.' I had been getting onto her because I had already found out she was with that boy, and I knew he had hurt her before."

The missing teen's mother believes that she's in danger because Garner was reportedly hurt by him a year ago. The young woman reportedly tried to leave the man, and he allegedly physically assaulted her. The fears of her being in danger are intensified by the fact that police are looking for him on murder charges.

Cassie Witt also says that she knows for a fact that her daughter is in the company of the wanted murder suspect. That's because she called his mobile phone when she found out that she was with him. He apparently answered the phone and she was able to ask to speak to her daughter, but the details surrounding any discussion aren't being published. In the end, her daughter texted the words "Whatever, mom" to her mother.

"I'm worried that he has hurt her."

The Rome News Tribune reports that the teen was sighted shortly after the fatal shooting that took place on Saturday -- which is the last time she was seen by anybody at all. A convenience store clerk told police that she came into the store to buy eye drops, and acted like she wanted to talk to her about something, but could not because Garner came in and rushed her to leave with him. Her eyes were reportedly red and she was standoffish.

Barbara "Maegan" Witt is described as a Caucasian female, standing at approximately 5'4" and 114 lbs. She has long wavy dark-brown hair and dark brown eyes. If you know anything about this teen's whereabouts or the whereabouts of Stevie "Bubba" Garner, please do not hesitate to contact law enforcement. Anybody who sees these two or who may know any information about where they may be are encouraged to call 911.

Update: The missing teen has been reunited with her family and Stevie Garner has been arrested.
