What’s Wrong With Jessica Simpson? Watch Her Barely Coherent Interview [Video]

Jessica Simpson, the blonde bombshell, singer, songwriter and actress, gave a brief two-minute interview during a red carpet event at the Teen Vogue’s 10th Annual Fashion University that has left many scratching their heads and asking, “Is something wrong?”

Appearing awkward, unable to stand still, and almost visibly finding it difficult to string coherent sentences together, Simpson discussed her children, her love for fashion, and hinted at a return to music in the brief clip.

There is no doubt that Jessica Simpson has a lot on her plate, both personally and professionally.

“I don’t know how I fit everything in my life, but somehow it just happens…My kids are absolutely my priority, my family is everything to me and I think just focusing on them, even in our collection we do kids so dressing my daughter is really fun, so that inspires me, especially right now.”

She also touched on the fact that daughter Maxwell, age two, is a complete Daddy’s girl, saying, “Right now her favorite fashion is her dad’s shirts and its funny because I always thought it was so romantic to wear your boyfriend’s shirt and Maxwell’s making that happen, her dad is her boyfriend.”

And even if Simpson’s daughter is not yet into fashion as much as her mom, she has already developed a taste for pricey make-up, Simpson said. “She has completely taken over my makeup, it’s unfortunate that her purse, which is probably like $3, has all of my Chanel lip glosses.” Chanel-brand lip gloss retails for around $34, so that’s definitely a step above most toddler’s make-up budgets.

Simpson also revealed that she is working on a new album and a return to music. “Right now I’m starting a record and I’m getting into a lot of other fun things, fashion will always be a part of who I am, it’s literally like if I’m not wearing a good outfit I can’t sing a good song.”

Fashion, music, and her kids certainly summed up the interview, as Simpson explained that one of the ways she is able to fit everything into her very busy life is the fact that she has a private recording studio in her own home.

“I have a recording studio in my house so I can be around my babies as well and they might try and sing over me, they won’t be my background vocalists, they’ll be like ‘Ahhhh!,’ they’ll be upfront and personal.”

What she said in the interview, however, is not what many are finding so odd about the clip — it’s how she said it. Watch for yourself and tell us — is something wrong with Jessica Simpson?
