Joe Giudice Attempted To Hide Alleged Cheating Scandal [Report]

Joe Giudice reportedly attempted to stop his alleged cheating scandal from hitting the press by throwing his Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars, Melissa and Joe Gorga, under the bus.

According to a new report, Joe Giudice, husband of Teresa Giudice, tried to make a deal with tabloids, which would allow him to sell a story about his brother-in-law and his wife that would ensure the story about his alleged affair with Jamie Jackson would not be published.

“[Joe Giudice] had been made aware that the story about the affair was going to come out a few months ago,” an insider dished to Real Mr. Housewife on March 17.

“[Joe Giudice] offered the press a deal. Basically, he told them that if they didn’t run the affair story, he would give them a better story. [Joe Giudice] started scrambling to get dirt on Melissa and Joe in hopes that he would block the affair story from running. While this tactic may have worked for a while, it clearly ended up backfiring when he couldn’t find dirt on them, as the affair story ended up coming out last week.”

In their March 23 issue, In Touch Weekly ran a story claiming that Joe Giudice hooked up with 30-year-old Jackson, a model from Atlantic City, during a trip to the Resorts Casino.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Joe Giudice and his wife may soon lose their spot on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Although an official decision has yet to be made in regard to the return of the Bravo series, a source claims producers may be offering Teresa’s spot to Tiki Barber’s wife, Traci Lynn Johnson.

“Yes, the rumor is true. Traci is down the road with the production company. She and Tiki moved to NJ a few years ago,” a source told E! News last week. “They are next door neighbors with Snooki.”

According to the report, producers approached Johnson about helping them “revamp” The Real Housewives of New Jersey with a more “well-known” cast. Hala Kerik, the wife of former NYC Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik, and Amber Sabathia, the wife of Yankees star CC Sabathia, were approached to join The Real Housewives of New Jersey for Season 7, as well, but ultimately declined.

Currently, Joe Giudice’s wife is serving a 15-month prison term for crimes of bank and wire fraud at the federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut.

Joe Giudice will enter into a 41-month prison term in early 2016, following Teresa’s release.
