MTV’s Catelynn Lowell Bullied Online, ‘Teen Mom’ Speaks Out Against Nasty Social Media Users

MTV’s Catelynn Lowell is fighting back after receiving hateful messages from online bullies. As she and her fiancé, Tyler Baltierra, prepare for the start of Teen Mom Season 5, Lowell has been faced with mean-spirited comments on her and Baltierra’s social media pages.

On March 17, MTV’s Catelynn Lowell revealed the following to Radar Online.

“Most of it is on Tyler’s profile, girls saying ‘You can do better.’ Girls are nasty and mean and have no class!”

According to MTV’s Catelynn Lowell, Baltierra often receives messages from women, who encourage him to leave her and find someone better. Luckily, Baltierra doesn’t take the bait. Instead, he tells his pushy fans to have some self respect.

“Some girl…ended up sending nude pictures of herself and said, ‘I want you.’ I just wrote back, ‘I hope whatever issues you have with your own self-respect are taken care of.’ It shut her down.”

Admittedly, MTV’s Catelynn Lowell was once bothered by female fans’ messages to Baltierra, and understandably so, but nowadays, she doesn’t let their distasteful comments get under her skin.

“Honestly, I’m so secure in our relationship. I know Tyler isn’t going to run off and do things or talk back to them. I laugh it off!”

Because MTV’s Catelynn Lowell and her fiancé, Baltierra, have been together for so many years, there is plenty of trust between them. Still, their healthy relationship hasn’t come without work. In fact, the two claim they’ve worked hard to maintain their love for the last several years.

Most recently, the pair signed on to appear on VH1’s Couples Therapy, where they addressed the underlying issues of their relationship, and began focusing both on growing as individuals, and as a couple.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, MTV’s Catelynn Lowell and Baltierra recently confirmed they would walk down the aisle on August 22 — and said their wedding could be featured on Teen Mom OG.

“I’m hoping, but I have no clue,” she revealed during an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine.

Because filming on Teen Mom OG‘s upcoming season has already wrapped, the series would have to be picked up for a sixth season in order for Lowell and Baltierra’s wedding to be seen on the show. It could, however, be featured as a special, even if the show doesn’t continue.
