Farrah Abraham Reveals Reluctance To Return To ‘Teen Mom’
Like it or not, Farrah Abraham is coming back to MTV’s Teen Mom on March 23. Of course, there has been a lot of chatter about her return, especially among her co-stars who have admitted that, at first, they were shocked.
Initially, the show was supposed to include only Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood, and Catelynn Lowell. However, after filming was underway, it was clear that something was missing. The fourth story seemed essential to the show and that meant brining back Farrah Abraham. Of course, while the rest of the cast was stunned to hear that the reality show star turned adult entertainer would be back, Farrah herself was also unsure about her return. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, she admits that she was reluctant to return.
“When I got the call to come back, it was a little bit awkward for me, and I tried to work with them the best that I could.”
Perhaps the reason for the awkwardness was because of the path Farrah chose after the original Teen Mom ended. Rather than go out on speaking tours like some of her co-stars, Farrah opted to enter the world of adult entertainment. She released an adult film with adult film star James Deen, released a line of adult toys, and even started performing at gentlemen’s clubs. To say that she had picked a completely different path than any of her co-stars is a bit of an understatement, but there is no doubt that Farrah has been successful with her controversial career choice. In fact, she admitted to Us Weekly that her success after the show was one reason she was reluctant to return.
“I was just a little bit reluctant because of the progress I made while I was not on the show.”
As previews for the show have shown, Farrah Abraham’s return was anything but smooth. Not only did the cast take things hard, but filming Farrah proved difficult as well. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Maci Bookout seemed to take the news the hardest and, at one point, it appears she was ready to quit the show entirely.
According to The Edge, it isn’t just her co-stars that Farrah has had issues with. She has also been having issues with her mother, Debra Danielsen. The two have a very rocky relationship and it seems that hasn’t changed.
“We’re going to counseling and trying to get through the blocks. I’m determined to better myself, but I don’t feel that all people in my family are the same way.”
Some may wonder why Farrah Abraham is returning to Teen Mom OG at all. She admits that she is back solely for the sake of her daughter, Sophia.
“I think it’s good to be back for Sophia’s sake and showing how our lives are to help others. And that’s why we’re back.”
The Teen Mom OG previews have showed a lot of drama for Farrah Abraham, but when the show returns on March 23, fans may get the chance to understand Farrah in a whole new way.
