Harry Potter Actor Robert Knox’s Murderer Found Guilty

The man charged in the murder of 18-year-old Harry Potter actor Robert Knox has been found guilty by a London jury.

The court was told during the trial that Karl Bishop murdered Knox as an act “of pure revenge” and that Bishop carried “knives like others carry pens in pockets.” Bishop claimed he acted in self-defense when he clashed with Knox outside a bar in Kent, England.

Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and had already signed up to reprise the role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows before his murder in May 2008.

Bishop could face a sentence of up to life in prison.
