Suge Knight arrested in Las Vegas for marijuana possession

Marion “Suge” Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, was arrested on Wednesday for possession of marijuana after he was pulled over by police for a traffic violation.

According to a report by TMZ, Knight was pulled over Wednesday afternoon for making an “unsafe” lane change in his pricy black Bentley. Upon pulling him over, officers discovered there were multiple warrants out for his arrest, and he was taken to jail after police found a reportedly small amount of weed in his possession.

“After a quick search, cops say they found a small amount of marijuana in Suge’s possession,” TMZ reports. “Knight was eventually hauled to a nearby jail for processing. He was released a short time later.”

Suge’s marijuana-related arrest is the latest in a series of run-ins with law enforcement. In 2008, Knight was arrested on drug and assault charges in Las Vegas. He was accused of punching his girlfriend and then pulling out a knife during a fight the two had outside a strip club.

In 2010, Suge was arrested once again in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. He was also sentenced to 36 months probation after pleading no contest to charges that he drove on a suspended license.
