Mariah Carey has been ridiculed for her off-key performances lately, but those same critics can't make fun of Mariah Carey for her latest performance. According to the Daily Mail, Mariah Carey wowed audiences at the Human Rights Campaign Gala on Saturday evening.

"The 44-year-old songstress rocked the house as she performed at the Human Rights Campaign gala at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, California on Saturday. She looked stunning wearing a black spaghetti strap floor length mermaid gown while raising awareness for LGBT human rights issues. Taking to the stage to sing her hit Hero, the 16-time Grammy winner looked to be in her element, belting out the tune to a captivated audience."

Mariah Carey is trying to keep busy while preparing for her Las Vegas residency. Billboard recently reported that Ms. Carey has signed a new record contract.

"As first reported by Billboard on Jan. 30, the singer is reteaming with Antonio L.A. Reid for a multi-album deal that would begin with a greatest-hits set to coincide with her upcoming residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas."
"It's safe to say Mariah Carey didn't have one of her best performances at the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival Friday night. The 44-year-old diva had more than a little trouble lip-syncing to a few of her biggest hits like 'Fantasy' and 'Always Be My Baby,' and it was all caught on tape. As the audio plays, Mariah clearly misses her cues, making the fact that she isn't singing live that much more obvious."
