Tyga’s Instagram Post On Kylie Jenner Brings Comments About Statutory Rape

The man known simply as Tyga, T-Raww or the King Gold Chains on his verified Instagram account has finally publicly professed his love for Kylie Jenner in one of the most public ways possible. The Tyga Instagram post accumulated more than 156,000 likes and more than 23,500 comments about the controversial relationship between 25-year-old Tyga and 17-year-old Kylie, who turns 18 on August 10.

“Certain things catch your eye, but only few capture the heart.”

Last month, Amber Rose called Kylie a baby that Tyga — whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson — needed to leave alone. However, Kanye West defended Tyga and said little about the relationship during his interview with The Breakfast Club Power 105.1 — as reported by the Inquisitr.

It didn’t take long for some of Tyga’s followers on Instagram to quickly admonish the man. Here were some of the comments on Tyga’s IG post.

“You could catch a charge tho…”

“Tyga done f****d around & Studied the ways of “R. Kelly”

“He met her at 14!!!!!! Not that he was smashing her that young, but that’s disgusting. How do you develop feelings for A CHILD that you met? And didn’t he throw black people under a bus for ASSUMING they were in a relationship? You sheeple are stupid as hell!”

Tyga, who hails from Gardena, California and found initial fame with the song “Coconut Juice” featuring Travie McCoy, was defended by some of his fans on Instagram.

“She is 17 technically an adult in a year…ppl making this age thing between both her an Tyga a big deal…they are what like 7 years apart? If she was 21 an him 28 no one would bat an eye about the age…chill out ppl…”

People described Tyga’s confirmation of his relationship with Kylie via Instagram “sweet“, with the rapper using eloquent words to describe his love for the reality TV star. Still, others on Instagram pointed to the relationship between Tyga and his baby’s mother — a woman who goes by Blac Chyna and enjoys a 2.5 million Instagram following — as the source of the tension and controversy more so than any age differences.

“I think the controversy is more over the fact that her sister and possibly Kylie were friends with the mother of his child vs. her age. She is young but the girl code was certainly broken here.”

“Meaning he likes her more than Blac Chyna”

According to Legal Match, in California, the age of consent is 18 years of age, with no acceptable difference between ages. That means it’s against the law for anyone to have sex with a minor (someone younger than 18) unless they are married. California doesn’t have a minimum age limit for marriage, unlike other states — so even minors younger than 18 can get both their mother’s and father’s permission and obtain a court order then legally marry.
