Fans can watch the Duke vs. N.C. State basketball game live online and see if the Blue Devils can avoid an early upset in the ACC Tournament.
The teams will meet at 7 p.m. Eastern on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils will have quite a task, with several key players hampered by injuries. Quinn Cook is dealing with an ankle injury, and there are five others, including ACC Player of the Year Jahlil Okafor, who are hobbled.
“We really have five guys of the eight that have had something wrong with their ankles in the last week and a half,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said. “I think all of them will play, but what does that do to their explosiveness? You have to go on the court forgetting about any soreness in the injury and hopefully, we’re strong enough mentally to do that.”
Fans who watch the Duke vs. N.C. State basketball game live online will see a Blue Devils team looking for revenge. The Wolfpack beat Duke back in January, building a 19-point lead and then holding on for a 87-75 victory and handing Duke its first loss of the year.
After the loss, Krzyzewski said his team simply wasn’t good enough.
“Were we as tough as we needed to be? No,” Krzyzewski said. “Does that mean we’re soft? No. We’re a good team. We need to learn to play at that level. You’ve got to be in these things to learn it.”
Though Duke is out for revenge, N.C. State isn’t backing down and they aren’t afraid of Duke’s impressive backcourt duo of Cook and Tyus Jones.
“Everybody wants to claim the best backcourt,” said N.C. State guards Cat Barber, who himself averaged 12.5 points this season. “I’m not into all that talking. They great, we great, so we’re just going to go out and play.”
Though Duke comes in as the favorite, Barber said anything can happen when the teams take the court on Thursday.
“We’re looking forward to playing against them and I know they’re looking forward to playing against us,” Barber said. “So it’s going to be fun.”
