Anonymous: New Hacking Group Targets Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Even North West

Kanye West looks to have been targeted by hackers, after the cyber terrorist group known as Anonymous launched a scathing attack on the rapper, which included references to his wife, Kim Kardashian, and their young daughter, North West.

Anonymous took to YouTube on February 22 to upload a video entitled, “Anonymous – A Message to Mr. West,” where an individual, whose face and features could’t be seen, then detailed why he and his posse have a problem with the rapper.

You can check out the entire clip from Anonymous below.

The footage, which came courtesy of the account Secret Anonymous Idea, has already been watched over 150,000 times since it was uploaded.

In the about section the group also outlined when they had targeted Kanye West.

“A direct message to our brother, Mr West, to teach him a lesson on [sic] humility, and responsibility, over his out of control, hypocritical, and impulsive actions.”

Their description also makes a pointed reference to Kanye West’s actions at the Grammys last month where he went up on stage and interrupted Beck’s acceptance speech after the singer had beaten Beyonce to an award. West later insisted that if Beck respected artistry then he would give the Crazy In Love singer the gong instead.

Anonymous wrote, “And you need to respect real artistry and allow other artists other artists other than Beyonce to be celebrated for their achievements… You owe Beck, Taylor Swift your fans, and the many people you’ve hurt and disappointed over the years an apology, Mr. West.”

They then signed off by declaring, “Our tolerance with your arrogant and distasteful behavior to gain attention online has reached its end,” before then adding, “We will be watching you.”

The 7-minute video also made pointed references to not only Kanye West’s wife and daughter, Kim Kardashian and North West, but they also acknowledged the musician’s mother too, Donda West, who died in 2007.

The messenger, who was speaking in a robotic British accent, at first attacked both West’s ego and his work in the fashion business, before he then claimed that Kim Kardashian is only successful because of her sex tape, and that her rise sends the wrong message out to women everywhere as it declares that it’s fine for them to use their bodies to become famous.

The clip also insists that North West will feel the “repercussions” of Kim’s “Break The Internet” viral campaign, which saw nude pictures she posed for with Paper Magazine trend for days.

Anonymous also teases that Kanye’s mother would be ashamed of their antics, sarcastically stating, “Your mother would have loved it. I’m sure she would have jumped right in the picture for her own close-up.”

It’s still not known how credible or threatening this attack on Kanye West is. This video comes just a few months after hundreds of celebrities found that their phones had been hacked, while Sony Pictures is still reeling from the hacking that saw thousands of its employees’ private emails released.
