Joe Giudice Could Take Over Filming ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ While Wife Teresa Is Locked Up

Joe Giudice is taking over a lot of wife Teresa’s responsibilities while she’s serving a prison term for fraud, and that may include shooting the next season of Real Housewives Of New Jersey.

Both Teresa and Joe Guidice were convicted last year of federal fraud charges, with a judge handing down staggered sentences that allow at least one parent to remain with their kids. Teresa has already started her 15-month sentence, which some sources say that has left Joe in a tight financial situation.

That may leave Joe stepping into Teresa’s role on Real Housewives Of New Jersey, giving his family some much-needed income while allowing producers to continue Teresa’s plot lines while she’s behind bars.

A source told the site All About The Real Housewives that nothing is set in stone yet regarding either Teresa or Joe Giudice appearing on the show. Another source cast doubt on the idea that Joe might appear alone with his girls and not Teresa.

But there still could be a lot of time for producers to figure it out, the report noted.

“At this point, I totally agree with the source when they say ‘nothing is set in stone’ on RHONJ. Bravo hasn’t even begun filming Season 7, so I don’t expect we will see RHONJ season 7 until very, very late 2015 or early 2016. And at that point it wouldn’t surprise me if they do additional filming when Teresa is released to add to the season 7 storylines, much like they did with Jacqueline Laurita during season 6. I don’t buy that Teresa won’t be coming back to RHONJ. I think she will need the money, and I think Teresa is willing to do anything to take care of her girls. [sic]”

Some have come out against the idea, saying that daughter Gia Giudice is already getting enough attention through social media and could use some time with her family. Shining a spotlight on the teen now with her mother behind bars would be exploitative, they argue.

If Joe Giudice does appear on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey, there could be plenty of drama. He is caught up in a cheating scandal, with a new report claiming that he started a relationship with Jamie Jackson around the same time his wife was starting her prison sentence.

Joe Giudice has denied having a relationship with Jamie Jackson, saying the story was a complete fabrication. Jackson has also denied sleeping with Joe.
