Bethenny Frankel Divorce Update: Jason Hoppy Requests Emergency Hearing
Bethenny Frankel has reportedly gotten some bad news ahead of the season premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City. According to a new report, her estranged husband, Jason Hoppy, has requested an emergency hearing in their divorce.
On March 11, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.
“Jason’s attorneys requested the emergency conference call this morning after a moving crew showed up at the apartment he shares with Bryn and started removing [Bethenny Frankel]’s belongings.”
Although Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy split over two years ago, they remained at odds over their assets, specifically the $5 million apartment they once shared in New York City.
Following their separation in December, 2012, Hoppy refused to move out of the home, and months later, a judge ordered the home to remain in their joint ownership until their divorce was finalized.
“Jason’s attorneys told the judge that [Bethenny Frankel] has bought a new apartment and she was taking her remaining things out of the Tribeca place. The problem was, Bryn was home and the moving crew scared her. She started hysterically crying and Jason was furious so he immediately called his lawyers, who called the judge.”
After phoning the judge on the case, he agreed that Bethenny Frankel should not have sent moving crews to the home, and was reportedly furious with the reality star for “exposing Bryn to these fights her parents still have.”
According to the source, this isn’t the only issue Hoppy has had with Bethenny Frankel in recent months. Over the summer, the source alleged, Hoppy grew frustrated after Frankel enlisted an assistant to take their daughter to the beach instead of doing so herself.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bethenny Frankel moved on from her marriage to Hoppy with Michael “Mac” Cerussi. Frankel and Cerussi began dating in late 2013, and went public with their relationship on New Year’s Eve. Since then, they’ve kept a low profile, reportedly because of Frankel’s ongoing divorce.
While Bethenny Frankel has done her best to keep the public away from her relationship with Cerussi, rumors have continued to swirl about the seriousness of their romance.
In one of the most recent reports, via Radar Online, it was speculated that Bethenny Frankel and Michael Cerussi may be engaged. During a trip to Miami weeks ago, Frankel was seen wearing what appeared to be a diamond ring on her left hand engagement finger.
