LuAnn de Lesseps Returns To ‘RHONY’ Full-Time: ‘I’m In The Driver’s Seat’

LuAnn de Lesseps is returning to The Real Housewives of New York City as a full-time housewife for Season 7. In an interview with E! News, de Lesseps’ upgraded role was confirmed, and she dished on what fans can expect from the upcoming season.

Ahead of Season 6, LuAnn de Lesseps was downgraded to recurring role on the show, but once filming began on Season 7, she was featured as an official housewife once again.

“I really feel like I’m in the driver’s seat. I’m enjoying myself. I must say, I’ve had the most fun this season that I’ve ever had.”

When The Real Housewives of New York City began years ago, LuAnn de Lesseps was featured in a full-time role. In the seasons that followed, cast members came and went, but, up until Season 6, de Lesseps remained a main cast member.

In the recently released trailer for Season 7, LuAnn de Lesseps is seen in a seemingly momentous scene with Heather Thomson. While trying to recuperate from a wild night out with Thomson, de Lesseps appears to be struggling to get back to her normal self.

“Be cool. Don’t be all, like, uncool,” de Lesseps was seen telling Thomson.

Right away, the quote became a popular saying online.

“Andy [Cohen] wrote me the next day and said, ‘You’ve got to make a new dance song!'”

As fans will recall, LuAnn de Lesseps made her first dance song,”Money Can’t Buy You Class” years ago, and now, she may be returning to the microphone for a second single, which would play off her “cool” quote.

During Season7 of The Real Housewives of New York City, LuAnn de Lesseps and her co-stars vacationed in Turks and Caicos, and according to her, ran into tons of drama along the way.

“From the minute we arrived I thought, ‘OK, this is going to be relaxing.’ And then it just happens, somehow. Even production was going, ‘We can’t believe what’s going on in this house.’ When you have eight people together, you never know what’s going to happen.”

Also returning to the show in a full-time role is Bethenny Frankel, who, as the Inquisitr reported last year, confirmed her Bravo comeback on her blog.
