Pope Francis OK With Being Assassinated, Just Has One Condition

Pope Francis has admitted that he accepts he might be assassinated, and is adamant that if that’s the case, then it will be “God’s will.”

However, he did admit that he does have one wish if God decides that he must perish in this fashion, he just wants it to be painless because he is a “real wimp.”

Pope Francis made his comments during an interview with La Carcova News, via the Daily Mail, an Argentinian newspaper that asked the inhabitants of Villa La Carcova, a small shantytown in Buenos Aires, for questions that they then asked the Pope.

In response to one question, Francis remarked, “Life is in God’s hands. I have said to the Lord, ‘You take care of me. But if it is your will that I die or something happens to me, I ask you only one favour: that it doesn’t hurt.’ Because I am a real wimp when it comes to physical pain.”

Pope Francis’ remarks are even more pertinent because they come just a few weeks after a planned assassination attempt by ISIS against him was allegedly thwarted.

ISIS have labelled the Pope as the “bearer of false truth,” and they reportedly orchestrated a plan that would have resulted in Francis being murdered by a bomb detonation in Manila. However, this was stopped by the Philippines’ military.

The Vatican have since insisted that any planned attempt on Pope Francis was mere speculation. But Getulio Naenas, who previously worked as a Special Action Force commander, told the Philippine senate that the national police had indeed received evidence that a bomb was set to be detonated near the Pope.

Meanwhile, Italian officials have also proclaimed that the Mafia might be considering an assassination attempt against Pope Francis, too. These rumors started to swirl last year after Francis vehemently attacked the mafia, organised crime, and its various members.

Francis even declared that those who work in these circles need to immediately repent or they would “end up in hell.” Back in March, 2014, Francis, according to the Guardian, declared, “I feel that I cannot conclude without saying a word to the protagonists who are absent today – the men and women mafiosi. Please change your lives. Convert yourselves. Stop doing evil.”

Pope Francis also took aim at drug traffickers in his most recent interview, while he also confirmed that “in principle” he would visit his home country of Argentina in 2016.
