Nick Gordon On Dr. Phil Show: Bobbi Kristina’s Beau Heads To Rehab As Aunt Accuses Him Of ‘Attempted Murder’ [Video]

On Jan. 31, Bobbi Kristina Brown was discovered unconscious in the home she shared with Nick Gordon, who recently appeared on the Dr. Phil Show. The 21-year-old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was lying face-down in a bathtub, and was rushed to the hospital. Now, as the days have turned into weeks and family members have spent her 22nd birthday in prayer, Bobbi Kristina has remained in a medically induced coma and dependent on life support. And for her boyfriend Nick Gordon, the loss of his “mother” Whitney Houston followed by the pain of missing his beloved Bobbi Kristina, has become almost unbearable, reported ABC News.

As a result, TV psychologist Dr. Phil invited Gordon to appear on his talk show. However, as it became clear to Dr. Phil that Nick was high, he turned the discussion into an intervention.

“[Gordon was] clearly in an altered state of consciousness. I asked him if he was sober, and he said ‘No,'” said Dr. Phil of the episode that airs March 11.

The chronology of how Gordon came to be part of Houston’s family also was revealed. Whitney made Nick her unofficially adopted son, and he and Bobbi Kristina lived together as brother and sister for more than 10 years before they announced they had become lovers.

In Nick’s view, when Whitney died, he became responsible for keeping Bobbi Kristina safe.

“He had an enormous amount of guilt and pain,” said Dr. Phil about Gordon.

The 25-year-old is now in rehab, where he reluctantly agreed to go after Dr. Phil persuaded him that it was the best solution for his emotional pain as well as reported drug and alcohol abuse.

What caused Dr. Phil to become involved in this situation? He became aware of Gordon’s increasingly suicidal posts on social media, according to Radar Online.

“I’m so hurt I wanna do myself in,” posted Nick on the night before Bobbi Kristina turned 22.

Gordon was drinking extensive amounts of alcohol and taking pills in an attempt to avoid his emotional pain, said a source.

“Nick was taking Xanax and drinking gallons of Jack Daniels.”

However, even as Gordon went off to rehab, Bobbi Kristina’s aunt was accusing him of attempted murder, reported People.

Leolah Brown wrote on her Facebook page that police are investigating Gordon for attempting to kill her niece, directing her plea to Dr. Phil and asking that he not air the show.

“Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown. We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.”

In addition, another insider revealed that police were also looking into drug abuse.

“Foul play is being investigated,” said that source. “Drug use and possibly cover-up to remove evidence from the crime scene [are under investigation].”

As the Inquisitr reported, Bobbi Kristina also allegedly used drugs including heroin and cocaine regularly. She reportedly had taken drugs on the morning that she was found unconscious.

But can Bobbi Kristina survive and recover completely? Not even experts can predict the ultimate outcome. As for family members, they continue to pray for a medical miracle.
