‘Far Cry 4’ DLC ‘Valley Of The Yetis’ Gets Video Walkthrough

Far Cry 4‘s final piece of DLC, titled Valley of the Yetis, landed this week. Yesterday, just ahead of the launch, the Far Cry 4 developers released a new walkthrough video. The video shows all the different things you can do while playing this new content and promises plenty of original action.

The video’s first feature shows that the main point of this Far Cry 4 DLC is to take over the Valley of the Yetis from a cult that rules the area with an iron fist. While you take on a number of overzealous enemies, this particular Far Cry 4 content gets ever more challenging the more nights pass. This means, as the people leading the walkthrough point out, that you should continue to upgrade your weapons in order to pack as much of a punch as possible.

It seems took a little page from another new release in Dying Light, as the Valley of the Yetis also shows off a feature that is relatively new to Far Cry 4 called “night defense.” As VG247 points out, while taking out goons from this Far Cry 4 cult is fun, the real enjoyment comes when you actually get to take on the mythical monsters in the title of the add-on. Of course, these are not at all easy to take out. The monsters are able to absorb quite a few machine gun rounds without showing much wear. There are few enemies in Far Cry 4 that are harder to kill than these beasts, but that really just means it’s another challenge players are going to want to undertake.

While players can boost their arms by purchasing new weapons, they can also earn some powerups and new weapons by unlocking achievements and completing side quests in this new Far Cry 4 content. As you can see from the walkthrough, the beautiful look and feel of the game is still very much there, including a really impressive backdrop and vista that is painted on behind all the shooting, maiming, and killing in the forefront.

Ubisoft has clearly worked pretty hard to make Far Cry 4 a game that will feel fresh and new months after its initial release. It wasn’t that long ago that the company finally added editable map support for PS4 and Xbox One. With this final piece of DLC going live, the season pass will get you everything the company is putting out for the game. Of course, you can also buy the Far Cry 4 DLC piecemeal.
