Nick Gordon On ‘Dr. Phil’ Show: ‘Please Don’t Tell Me To Man Up’ [Video]

There’s a new video snippet that has been released by the Dr. Phil Show on March 10, one that displays Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend in a sad state of being during a much-anticipated interview. The video, titled Nick Gordon: ‘Please Don’t Tell Me To Man Up’ — which was posted to the Dr. Phil YouTube channel — shows an explosive exchange between Nick and the talk show host, as Gordon sat next to his mother, Michelle, on the couch. It begins with Gordon panting and crying, and telling his mom how Whitney Houston’s death affected him deeply.

“Mom, I lost the most legendary singer ever, and like I’m scared to lose Krissy.”

Nick’s mother tries to comfort her son, who begins breathing rapidly, as she dabs at tears and keeps a calm, soft voice.

“Pray for her. Pray for Krissy, right? You’re hyperventilating, just breathe.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Phil chimes in with his thoughts about Nick getting professional help.

“What I want you to do is…”

“Go to rehab, yeah? I do.”

“I think you definitely need to go to a medically supervised rehab. You can’t help Bobbi Kristina like this. You can’t help Krissy the way you are. This is not helping.”

“You’re right. You’re right. You’re right.”

That’s when the exchange between Nick and Dr. Phil gets a little heated, with the good doctor giving Gordon a statement that seemed to anger Bobbi’s boyfriend, who has been the subject of police investigations due to questions about his actions on the day that the daughter of the legendary singer drowned, as reported by the Inquisitr.

“You’ve got to get yourself cleaned up. You’ve got to man up.”

“I’ve been so strong for so many people for so long. So please don’t tell me to man up.”

“Yes, I am going to tell you that.”

“No, you’re not.”

“I just did.”

In reaction to his interview with Nick, Dr. Phil told ABC that it was obvious that the 25-year-old was in an altered state of consciousness, and that when McGraw asked Gordon if he were sober, Nick admitted that he wasn’t. Dr. Phil called his interview with the man who is at the center of a big controversial tragedy “volatile,” and this new minute-long clip released by the talk show host proves that fact. Gordon has claimed that he has not been allowed to visit Bobbi in the hospital, with claims that her family is keeping him away.
