Duchess Kate Baby Gender: Coat Color Could Mean A Baby Girl Is On Her Way?

Duchess Kate may have hinted at her second baby’s gender when she stepped out to celebrate Commonwealth Day with her husband, Prince William, on Monday. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge wore a pink Alexander McQueen coat, and a matching hat to the event, making some people wonder if a bit of “mother’s instinct” was showing through.

Since Kate Middleton and Prince William have said that they don’t know the sex of their second child, people have been trying to guess (and yes, some have been placing bets). Kate has favored the color blue throughout most of her pregnancy, but this quick pop of pink could mean that she’s feeling like she is having a girl. Or maybe she just likes the coat.

Duchess Kate’s baby’s gender has been a topic of conversation for months. With her due date fast-approaching (some say late March, others say early April), some are trying to analyze the shape of her bump. As evidenced by photos posted by the New York Daily News, checking out that bump hasn’t been that easy. There have been a lot of coats and loose-fitting dresses, which really prohibit folks from getting a good look. If you had to guess, Kate looks pretty much the same as she was when she was pregnant with Prince George… so a “boy” would be a safe answer.

And if you were waiting for Kate to truly “pop” over the next two weeks or so, you may not get an opportunity to have another look. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the celebration for Commonwealth Day may have been Kate’s last appearance before giving birth. With just a few short weeks left, Kate may have some last minute things to do to prepare for baby, but it’s also important that she takes it easy, too.

Interestingly enough, the pink McQueen coat was last worn by Kate in 2013, when she made her last public appearance before giving birth to Prince George.

Do you think Duchess Kate knows the gender of her baby from a mother’s instinct perspective? Do you think that she and Prince William are going to welcome a boy or a girl?

Once the Duchess gives birth, the palace will make a formal announcement. It won’t take long for Kate and William to introduce their new child to the world, just as they did with Prince George on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital.
