Anne Hathaway Throws Engagement Party In New York City, No Hollywood Heavyweight In Attendance

Anne Hathaway spent some time on Saturday night to celebrate her engagement to fiancé Adam Shulman as the 29-year-old actress celebrated her upcoming marriage.

The party wasn’t by any means a small time event with 125-people in attendance at the Housing Works Bookstore Café in downtown Manhattan.

Unlike many Hollywood type parties Hathaway strayed away from inviting Hollywood’s elite and instead only asked family and friends to attend the engagement party.

The lack of celebrity guests doesn’t really surprise us, unlike many Hollywood pairings that seem “made for photos” Hathaway truly seems smitten with her beau, stating in November “we hit if off immediately” while adding that she is “very much in love with him.”

Without her normal “insiders” in attendance details about the actresses engagement party are pretty sparse.

Do you think Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman are in it for the long haul or is this another doomed Hollywood pairing?
