Giudice Manning Up: ‘RHONJ’ Melissa Gorga Proud Of Brother-In-Law Joe Giudice

Joe Giudice is manning up!

Melissa Gorga was on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday night where she gave a small update on her in-laws, and how they are handling things while Teresa Giudice is behind bars. According to Fox News, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star said that she sees her brother-in-law taking his nieces to school in the morning, and that she is proud of him for stepping up to the plate.

“It’s heavy on his heart. It’s a lot. I pass [Joe Giudice] in the morning, and he’s driving the girls to school. And I usually pass Teresa every morning. It’s heartwarming to see him. He’s manning up, and he’s doing what he has to do,” she said.

Hearing that Joe Giudice is manning up is great for fans of the family who were concerned with how things would be for the Giudice girls (Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana) after their mom went to jail (on Jan. 5). Melissa Gorga couldn’t help but get emotional while talking about the situation.

According to ABC News, Teresa Giudice will be in jail until Jan. 2016, serving a 15 month prison sentence after committing fraud. After Teresa is released from jail, Joe Giudice will be serving 41 months behind bars for crimes of the same nature.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, have not gone to visit Teresa in prison yet, but they have been asking about her, and have been told that she’s doing well. Melissa and Joe have stayed as close as possible to the Giudice girls, and have them over frequently for playdates, something that is certainly helpful for everyone during this difficult time.

“She’s doing well. My mother-in-law gives me updates all the time and she’s doing really good. I have written to her, yes, and she’s spoken to her brother on the phone,” Melissa explained.

While Joe Giudice is manning up at home, this is all still very emotional for the family. Teresa still has nine more months away from home, and she’s going to miss a lot of important moments with her kids. However, many feel as though she needed to be punished for her actions, and that this will all work out one way or another.
