Nicki Minaj Song “Marilyn Monroe” Leaks to the Internet [Video]

Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded still isn’t on shelves yet but a new single from the album has just leaked onto the internet. “Marylin Monroe,” a song about the difficulties of being famous, has been making its way on music blogs today.

In the song, Minaj sings:

“I can be selfish/Yet so impatient/Sometimes I feel like Marilyn Monroe/I’m insecure, yeah/I make mistakes sometimes/Feel like I’m at the end of the road…/Is this how Marilyn Monroe felt?/Must be how Marilyn Monroe felt.”

MTV reports that the song is probably a leak from Minaj’s new album. But since the recording isn’t quite crystal clear, it’s probably just a demo version that will be cleaned up a bit before its official release.

Of course, Nicki Minaj just performed in the Super Bowl last night and plenty of people have been talking about her today. So maybe this was one of those on purpose leaks…

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was scheduled to be released on February 14th but the singer has postponed the release date. Minaj has already released a teaser for the album (the video for “Stupid Hoe”) and says that the album should be available April 3rd. Minaj wrote on Twitter:

“New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of surprises before then ;). Love Always, HB.”
