WWE News: Huge Update On The Bella Twins, Are They Leaving WWE When Their Contracts Expire?
Two weeks ago, the Bella Twins took part in a 30-second match with Paige and Emma. Brie Bella ended up hitting the “Bella Buster” on Emma for the victory. The tag-team match lasted a whopping 30 seconds. In the past, a 30-second women’s match is rare. Granted, they don’t get 20 minutes to leave the crowd starstruck. However, the women usually get five minutes to prove they can wrestle as well as the guys.
Brie and Nikki Bella have improved immensely over the past few years. In fact, they are actually over with the WWE Universe, as the two divas play perfect heels. However, their time in WWE might be coming to an end. According to SEScoops.com, the Bellas teased an impending announcement on Total Divas last night that could impact their WWE careers.
“On last night’s season finale of Total Divas, theBella Twins teased that they are leaving WWE soon.
Nikki and Brie informed WWE officials that they are not planning to renew their contracts.”
The scene was filmed near the time of Survivor Series. With this report, keep in mind that Total Divas is a scripted show. For example, Tyson Kidd and Natalya are happily married with no qualms. It’s simply a reality show meant for entertainment. However, the Bellas being behind the 30-second match isn’t scripted. It was very real.
After the 30-second match took place, a hashtag went viral on Twitter. “#GiveDivasAChance” trended worldwide for two days straight. In a recent interview with Nikki Bella on 105.9 The X in Pittsburgh, Mark Madden, former-WCW announcer, asked Nikki about the hashtag and how the 30-second match came to be.
“What’s funny about that is we were given about three minutes. Three to four minutes. And we – us four girls who were in the match – we put our heads together and said look: we can either give them a two minute match, or we can give them nothing and get Brie and I so much heat and tell a great story…”
Are the Bella twins the two-greatest women in WWE history? That’s up for debate, but nobody can deny their improvement over the last few years. Over the Summer, Brie and Nikki had a great rivalry with Stephanie McMahon and the Authority.
Brie’s match with McMahon at SummerSlam is still a great match to watch again. Not many WWE fans were saying that about the Bellas in 2010. Looking at their most-recent run in WWE, it will be odd to see them in something other than a WWE ring; especially if they are true to their word on Total Divas. If Brie and Nikki Bella want to pursue ventures outside of wrestling, what does that mean for Daniel Bryan and John Cena?
