Melissa Gorga Says She Took High Road With Teresa Giudice, Admits She And Joe Gorga Have Yet To Visit Her In Prison

Predictably, Melissa Gorga’s appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live on Sunday night featured a lot of talk about her incarcerated sister-in-law Teresa Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star gave an update to Andy on how Teresa is doing.

“She’s doing well. My mother-in-law gives me updates all the time and she’s doing really good.”

One of the information that Melissa’s mother-in-law may have shared with her is how Teresa is faring with the other inmates. Melissa told Andy that the reports out there of Teresa having enemies in prison is false. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, one recent In Touch article claimed that Teresa has made enemies in prison because of her holier-than-thou attitude and even feared for her life.

When Andy asked Melissa if she has had any personal contact with Teresa, she pretty much admitted that she and her husband have yet to visit Teresa, who began her prison sentence in early January.

“I have written to her, yes, and she’s spoken to her brother on the phone.”

Melissa Gorga then talked about how Teresa Giudice’s husband, Joe Giudice, is doing. She said that the situation is “heavy on his heart” and that “it’s a lot.” Yet contrary to the rumors out there that Joe, who will serve his 41-month prison sentence after Teresa gets out in early 2016, is not raising the girls right, Melissa said that Joe is manning up and doing what he has to do. She added that she sees him drive the girls to school every morning.

Melissa also shared that she sees Teresa and Joe’s daughters frequently. In fact, she had Teresa’s girls over at her house just last week and her daughter Antonia still has frequent play dates with Joe and Teresa’s daughter Milania.

When Andy told Melissa that he felt that she was “stifled” at the last The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, Melissa admitted that she tried her best to maintain the peace and “took the high road” with Teresa considering her situation. Perhaps her husband also implored her to not fight with his sister?

“I don’t believe in hitting people when they’re down. I think she’s going through enough and if she was saying something that I disagreed with or I felt like there were some things being said that were coming at me a little bit but I just stayed quiet. I feel like she was going through a lot. I took the high road there. What are you going to say? Three days before she found out this huge news so if my buttons were being pushed a little, I just stayed quiet because it wasn’t really the time for that.”

Interestingly enough, some of the questions likely on many viewers’ minds, whether and when there will be another season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and who will be on it, went unanswered. According to one recent OK! Magazine article, producers aren’t waiting for Teresa Giudice to get out to get the ball rolling on the new season and that they’re open to a cast shakeup, which means that everyone, Teresa and Melissa Gorga included, may find themselves left out of the cast.
