Nick Gordon Enters Rehab After Dr. Phil Intervention: Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Boyfriend Accused Of ‘Foul Play’ Murder

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has checked into rehab following an intervention by Dr. Phil. And while Gordon remains under investigation in what some family members regard as “foul play,” he also was viewed as a young man in need of professional help, reported Good Morning America.

His mother, Michelle, told Dr. Phil that she feared for her 25-year-old son’s life.

“As we sit here right now, my son’s life hangs in the balance,” she pleaded for help.

When Nick was growing up, Whitney Houston unofficially “adopted” him after Michelle reportedly abandoned him. He was treated like a sibling for Bobbi Kristina Brown, but that brother-sister friendship shifted to love and living together. They never married.

During the episode, which will air March 11, Dr. Phil discusses those relationships and Nick’s resulting problems with dependency. That includes both significant amounts of alcohol as well as drugs such as Xanax, according to Radar Online.

Gordon was feeling pressured on many levels, both missing Bobbi Kristina and feeling blocked from visiting her. He also is aware of an ongoing criminal investigation into his life before she was discovered.

As the Inquisitr reported, Nick sent out a suicidal tweet on the eve of Bobbi Kristina’s birthday. He also pleaded with Bobby Brown to allow him to see her.

“I’m so hurt I wanna do myself in, I know I have to be strong,” tweeted Gordon.

But for the Gordon family, the Houston family, and the Brown family, the world turned upside down when Bobbi Kristina was found lying unconscious, face down, in her bathtub on January 31. It was a heart-breaking parallel to how her mother Whitney died by drowning.

Now, as the days turned into weeks, Bobbi Kristina has remained dependent on life support measures, including a ventilator and feeding tube. Kept in a medically induced coma, she also experienced violent seizures when doctors attempted to evaluate her prognosis by bringing her out of that state.

And to Bobbi Kristina’s aunt Leolah Brown, the reason for her niece’s health crisis is clear, reported People. Brown blames Gordon for what she views as an attempt to kill Bobbi Kristina Brown.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt, Leolah Brown, publicly claimed on Saturday that her niece’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is under investigation for “attempted murder” in connection with the 22-year-old’s near drowning.

Leolah used Facebook to share her views when she learned that Nick would be shown during Dr. Phil on March 11. In her post, she asked Dr. Phil not to intervene when a criminal investigation is ongoing and was direct in her belief that he tried to murder the 22-year-old.

“Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobbi Kristina Brown. We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.”

Some have questioned why Bobby Brown is blocking Nick from seeing Bobbi Kristina. Leolah answered this question, noting that Gordon had not complied with the requests for information.

“If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece’s body was found in a bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded.”

What do you think? Was Dr. Phil right to intervene in the case of Nick Gordon? Or has he changed the course of a criminal investigation into the cause for Bobbi Kristina Brown’s health crisis? Post your comments below.
