Brianna Crane, a nine-year old girl from Solon, Iowa, is missing. KCCI-8 is reporting now that an active Amber alert was issued this evening for Brianna Christine Elise Crane, an Eastern Iowa girl, who vanished on Saturday at around 3:30 p.m.
*****UPDATE: Brianna Crane has been found safe. The Amber alert has been cancelled. Police are still looking for her abductor.
According to the Omaha World Herald, Iowa law enforcement officials say the girl is most likely in the company of 48-year-old Kenneth Johns, the girl’s stepfather. Friends and family members of the missing child are hoping that information can be disseminated as quickly as possible in an effort to find the missing girl.
Some are reporting that the girl has been found safe, others in the area say that local radio stations are saying the Amber alert is still active. As of now, Brianna Crane’s missing persons case is still active on the Iowa Department Of Public Safety’s website.
Brianna Crane is described as a brown-haired, hazel-eyed girl, who weighs 85 pounds and stands four-foot tall. She was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, black high tops, and a furry-hooded coat, according to Radio Iowa News.
Her abductor, 48-year-old Kenneth Eugene Johns, has blond hair and blue eyes. Officials say he is six feet tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He could be driving a 2014 Ford Focus in the color gray. The vehicle’s license plate reads CKJ484. Authorities have not indicated from where she was possibly abducted. It doesn’t appear that an active Facebook page has been created for Crane. As news of her abduction is shared on Facebook, many residents are hopeful that she will be found safe.
