WWE News: ‘The Daily Show’ Host Jon Stewart Could Be Back With WWE For ‘WrestleMania 31’ Involvement

This past week, we saw The Daily Show‘s host Jon Stewart show up on WWE RAW. He had a fantastic segment with WWE Superstar Seth Rollins. The appearance got a lot of press for WWE, which they love to get during WrestleMania season. Fans seemed to love Stewart’s appearance and could tell that he was a true fan of the WWE. He has expressed his thoughts on WWE randomly over the years.

Cageside Seats reports that WWE was very happy with Stewart’s appearance and there is a thought that they might try to get him back. There have been rumors that WWE wanted to get Stewart involved with WrestleMania in some way, however that may not happen. Stewart works on The Daily Show in New York, which tapes from Monday to Thursday each week.

Due to WrestleMania 31 taking place in the California, Stewart would have to get done with Mania and make it back in time for his show on Monday. While it is doable, there is a lot of travel and time involved in that, which might prevent Stewart from appearing. If WWE was able to get him last year, then things wouldn’t be nearly as bad. Sadly, that was not the case this time.

Traveling across the country is tiring in it’s own right and then Stewart would have to do his show. While he could always attempt to do it from California, that is easier said than done.

Ideally however, Stewart could take Monday off and take part in the WrestleMania festivities with no issue. However, Comedy Central has a certain amount of shows they must do, and an entire network debacle could occur. Of course, Stewart has told people that he is leaving later this year. So what could they do, fire him?

This being the last season of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, one would imagine he’d want to do a lot of things he hasn’t been able to do over the years. Regardless of what WWE and Stewart decide, WWE does like Stewart and he will probably be back with WWE in the future. As a big wrestling fan, it is assumed that Stewart would like to take part in WWE shows in the future. I mean, there might be a General Manager spot open with WWE when he leaves The Daily Show.

Fans would like to see Stewart involved with WrestleMania 31. WWE certainly would. Will he? Time will tell, but don’t be surprised it he shows up.
