Season 11 of Deadliest Catch will premiere on the Discovery Channel on April 14. From the sounds of things, the show is bigger and better than ever as huge waves and enormous challenges put the crews into precarious positions. What can fans expect from the new season?
It looks like the new season starts out with a mega storm that tests even the most experienced crew members. Original Productions executive producer Jeff Conroy teases that viewers will see some of the biggest waves to ever hit these boats, and the struggles lead to waves that carry on even after the storm has passed.
The show may be starting off with a big storm, but Deadliest Catch spoilers indicate that there are other big challenges ahead later in the season as well. A second major storm will shake everybody up, but there are challenges ahead that have nothing to do with the weather too.
New government regulations lead to stiff competition and new challenges as the crews try to tap into an increased and lucrative, but elusive, crab market. The challenges will force the teams to consider whether they can succeed on their own or if it might bring in more money to partner with another ship and share the riches.
Though there have been changes over the years with the crews involved, many fan favorites are back in Season 11 of Deadliest Catch. The Northwestern is in the mix, and spoilers indicate that Jake Anderson is going to be facing some really big challenges. Over on the Cornelia Maria, Josh works to make it all his own at last, despite the memories of his father’s leadership.
The Wizard, Time Bandit and Saga are in the mix of things, and as Discovery teases via the Futon Critic, the guys must lean on one another to get through the season successfully. Wild Bill Wichrowski and the Cape Caution are around as is Bill’s son Zach. Can they find a way to work together in harmony?
While there are many dramatic and challenging moments ahead, Season 11 Deadliest Catch spoilers tease that there are fun times and big pranks ahead as well. One boat will even be stolen in an attempt to get the best of one of the captains, and it seems he won’t be all that amused at first.
It sounds as if Season 11 of Deadliest Catch will have something for everyone when it returns to the Discovery Channel on April 14 with new episodes, and fans can’t wait to get started.
