WWE News: Big Update On AJ Lee’s Tweets At Stephanie McMahon, Will WWE Use Them In Storyline?

AJ Lee made her return to WWE television in Monday Night Raw this past week to help Paige gain the upper-hand on Nikki and Brie Bella. Her return was reported that night, as she was spotted backstage. A few storylines involving AJ Lee’s return were rumored over the last several months. The first one was the tag-team match with Paige against the Bella twins. As for the other, it involved Stephanie McMahon.

Now, with McMahon now on the Board of Directors, it is very unlikely she will be wrestling any time soon, if ever again. The reason for that rumor began with AJ Lee’s tweet to Stephanie McMahon. McMahon tweeted at Patricia Arquette, an American actress, about the movement, “#UseYourVoice.”

Lee then responded by saying in a tweet that has since been deleted, to stop being a hypocrite. Here’s what the tweet said:

Your female wrestlers have record selling merchandise & have starred in the highest rated segment of the show several times, and yet they receive a fraction of the wages & screen time of the majority of the mail roster. #UseYourVoice

McMahon simply responded to AJ Lee by saying, “Thank you AJ Lee, I appreciate your opinion.” There’s no doubt that WWE’s billion-dollar princess wasn’t too happy about that tweet. In fact, there was major heat on Lee for tweeting that. Will this tweet be used in WWE storylines? According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, don’t expect AJ Lee’s tweet on WWE programming anytime soon.

“Word is that there were no creative changes made at all after AJ’s tweets. WWE could always bring AJ’s tweets into the storylines but due to The Authority being involved in the main feuds on WWE TV, they likely won’t get involved in any new storylines that are so low on the card.”

Lee is the most-over Diva on the WWE roster, so they have to use her in WWE programming. This will also help get Paige over with the fans, even though she already is. The “#GiveDivasAChance” movement exploded on Twitter, as it trended worldwide for two days. Nikki Bella spoke to Mark Madden on 105.9 the X in Pittsburgh, and told the former-WCW announcer how it all began.

“What’s funny about that is we were given about three minutes. Three to four minutes. And we – us four girls who were in the match – we put our heads together and said look: we can either give them a two minute match, or we can give them nothing and get Brie and I so much heat and tell a great story…We’re not gonna give people three minutes of BS, and it ended up being a big chance.”

Every WWE fan must give it to the Divas at this stage of the game. WrestleMania is almost here and they are turning up their game. The NXT women’s division is simply astonishing. Charlotte and Sasha Banks was just the main event of NXT two nights ago. AJ Lee and Paige will most-likely face the Bella Twins at WrestleMania in a few weeks. If they keep it up, their match will not be a bathroom break, but rather a potential show-stealing match.
