Must See: Impressionist Sings ‘Cartoon Funk’ In Latest Viral ‘Uptown Funk’ Video Parody

Mikey Bolts, who is well known on YouTube for his impression videos, has taken the current viral craze of alternative “Uptown Funk” videos to a new level. Bolts recorded a new parody of the song, titled “Cartoon Funk,” by alternating phrases in the song amongst some well known cartoon character voices, including Peter, Stewie, and Herbert the Pervert from Family Guy, Hank Hill of King Of The Hill, Roger of American Dad, and many more. “Giggity!”

Check out the video below.

Bolts’ latest parody, “Cartoon Funk,” is far from the first parody spin-off of the song. Other recent parodies include Suburban Funk, Oldtown Funk, and Downton Funk.

“Cartoon Funk” has already become a viral sensation on YouTube. The video has garnered over 87,000 views in the first day it has been online.

According to Mikey Bolts, the cartoon impressionist himself, “Cartoon Funk” had a very quick turnaround time.

“Started recording at 3am, filmed at noon, edited til 9. Tuesday vid. Love you guys. Have a good week. [sic]”

Bolts has over 1.7 million followers on YouTube, and his fans appear to be pleased with his recent release. “Cartoon Funk” has received over 25,000 likes on YouTube (and counting) versus less than 200 dislikes. Fans spoke out, giving their approval of Bolts’ latest cartoon-voiced creation.

“The coolest thing about these videos is you switching back and forth to each characters so quickly without missing a beat. these never get old, my friend! love ya man keep killin’ it.”

“Every video I’m like “This is your best yet” and you keep out doing yourself, your progression is immense! Keep up the good work! This channel will some day be #1 (It already is in my opinion)”

In addition to “Cartoon Funk,” Bolts’ highest viewed videos on his YouTube channel include several other cartoon character parody videos. Bolts has videos up with cartoons singing Eminem, Pitbull, LMFAO, Meghan Trainor, and many more.

“Uptown Funk,” the latest hit song by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson, has seemingly been at the top of the charts since shaking Taylor Swift out of the number one spot back in January. With this latest hit, Mars was able to reach number one on both the U.S. and U.K. charts simultaneously for the fourth time. The only other solo artists to achieve number one at the same time in both the U.K. and U.S. more times than Bruno is the King himself, Elvis Presley.

No word yet on if “Cartoon Funk” will make the Billboard charts come next week.
