A former U.S. Navy SEAL and FBI agent named Jonathan Gilliam agrees with others who claim World War 3 has already started, but in this case it is an unconventional world war that came about due to a "lack of forward thinking" by the United States and other Western nations.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko claims that Boris Nemtsov died before proving Vladimir Putin knowingly positioned Russian troops inside Ukraine in order to fight alongside the separatist forces. A recent poll in Russia shows that a large percentage of Russian people believe that if the U.S. gives Ukraine military aid then World War 3 will begin.
Recently, King Abdullah II of Jordan said all nations need to be "unified" in order to bring DAESH, or ISIS, down.
"I've said this to leaders both in the Islamic and Arab world and to the world in general: This is a third World War by other means. This brings Muslims, Christians, other religions together in this generational fight that all of us have to be in this together," said King Abdullah, according to a previous report by the Inquisitr. "So it's not a Western fight. This is a fight inside of Islam where everybody comes together against these outlaws, so to speak, together. And there's a short-term part of this which is the military part of the issue. There is the medium part which is the security element of it. And then there's a long-term element of this, which is obviously the ideological one."
Jonathan Gilliam also believes World War 3 started already, but also says most people have yet realize this new reality.
"This is the first unconventional world war we've ever had. It is World War III. Unfortunately, the world hasn't figured that out yet," the retired U.S. Navy SEAL said, according to Newsmax. "If [terrorists] keep going the way they're going, the roots are going to be able to spread all around the globe to a much greater extent than they are right now."
In the past, Pope Francis claimed that different type of World War 3 had begun, but in general most people associate WW3 with nuclear weapons or the end of the world as we know it. Gilliam notes that this world war is being fought on multiple levels, both on the standard battlefield and the internet. The ISIS beheading videos have been fighting a mental battle, and even the terror group Boko Haram produces videos.
"Before, none of these groups thought about videos and high production stuff," Gilliam said. "Now, they see with this World War, [they can use the] same 1,400-year-old tactics, but now they can launch this terror across the World Wide Web."
The former U.S. Navy SEAL believes that terrorists like DAESH only became capable of waging World War 3 due to "our lack of forward thinking and our lack of aggressive stance when it comes to battling this war."
