‘Arrow’ Spoilers: Thea Looking For Closure, Oliver’s New Enemy, And An Emotional Goodbye

Just because fans have to wait a few weeks for a new episode doesn’t mean they have to wait for new Arrow spoilers. What happens next after Thea lets Nyssa out of the cage? What’s next with Ra’s al Ghul? Who’s going to be Oliver’s problem after Ra’s al Ghul? The latest news about the CW’s hit show teases answers to those questions. (Yes, even that last one.)

As the Inquisitr previously reported, there was a pretty big cliffhanger at the end of the latest Arrow episode. After Thea handed Malcolm over to the League of Assassins after finding out the role he made her play in Sara’s death, Oliver and Diggle headed to Nanda Parbat to rescue him. They ended up walking right into a trap and were chained up themselves, but when Oliver was brought in front of Ra’s al Ghul, instead of being killed, he was presented with an offer. Ra’s wants him to take over for him and be the next Ra’s al Ghul.

Will Oliver say yes? Well, the promo for the next new Arrow episode, “The Offer,” shows that Ra’s arguing in favor of just that. But what does Oliver think?

“There is more than one path to justice,” he says as the preview ends. “Maybe I should be Ra’s al Ghul.”

The end of that Arrow episode also saw Thea tell Nyssa the truth about Sara’s death and let her out of her cage so that she could take the vengeance she had promised her. Malcolm may have trained Thea, and she has proven she can take care of herself, but that still didn’t seem like a smart move. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim has told E! News that Thea is safe and that that won’t be the only way she looks to try to deal with her guilt.

“We’re working towards telling a different story with Thea, it won’t always be just her acting out. She’s processing a huge amount of guilt and regret. At the end of [episode] 15, she’s essentially attempting suicide by Nyssa. It’s a continuing progression. It won’t just be a repetition of her acting out. In [episode] 16, she looks for closure in another way because spoiler alert, Nyssa’s not going to kill [Thea].”

Remember, Thea did just find out in episode 14, “The Return,” that Malcolm drugged her and used her to kill Sara – and that’s after only recently finding out that her brother’s the Arrow. Thea’s been going through a lot lately.

Even though Oliver’s still dealing with Ra’s al Ghul, TVLine has revealed some Arrow spoilers about the Season 3 finale already – and about someone that will be part of next season, as well.

“[It] will introduce a major, formidable, fierce new foe for Oliver, and his reign of terror will continue well into Season 4. The mysterious character is being referred to internally as ‘Damian Dark.'”

In other news, Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes have both written ominous posts on Twitter and Facebook about an upcoming episode. Who’s saying goodbye? Will it have anything to do with Ra’s al Ghul? Could it have to do with Thea’s search for closure? On Arrow, anything is possible.

“Putting the finishing touches on our 65th episode tonight. It features one of the most emotional, touching and heartfelt scenes we’ve ever produced,” Amell wrote on Facebook. “Everyone was equal to the task. Long day, but a good one.”

Arrow Season 3 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on the CW.
