Andressa Urach: Miss BumBum Hospitalized Again, Fighting For Her Life After More Complications From Buttock Implants [Report]

Andress Urach has been making headlines for the past couple months after suffering life-threatening complications from buttock implants. The 2012 contestant for Brazil’s Miss BumBum has reportedly undergone nine cosmetic surgeries over the past five years in an effort to perfect her posterior. Unfortunately, her efforts have had severe drawbacks because she the implants became infected several months ago.

As previously reported on Inquisitr, Andressa revealed when she started having issues with the implants. During an interview last summer with Brazil’s R7 website, she explained how the hydrogel used for the implants began affecting her muscles, which led to a series of dangers infections.

“The hydrogel was not absorbed by my body and started to harm me. Now I’ve discovered that the PMMA is sticking to my muscles and causing the tissue to rot,” she explained. ‘That’s why I am feeling such strong pains. I’m taking morphine every four hours and antibiotics to alleviate the suffering.”

She also shared a series of jaw-dropping photos while hospitalized in an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of buttock implants. The gruesome photos, which revealed massive holes in her thighs, were uploaded to Twitter. The shocking photos have since gone viral. At the time the pictures were taken, it was reported that Andressa could not walk. However, her condition was said to be improving, but it appears she isn’t out of the woods just yet.

Now it has been reported that Andressa has been hospitalized yet again. According to the Daily Mail, the famed model is back in the hospital after being hospitalized the entire month of December. She was reportedly in an intensive care unit, facing the possibility of losing her leg as a result of the life-threatening infections that caused her muscle tissue to rot. The recent hospitalization is a result of inflammation. However, no further details have been released.

According to Mirror Online, she recently released a statement from her hospital bed stressing the dangers and consequential cost of beauty. She also expressed how lucky she is to be alive after suffering such severe complications from the implants.

“I am suffering a lot, but God is with me. It’s my fault, my vanity made me push the limits. Thanks to God I no longer need my body to work, now I work with honor and can sustain my family like that. I prefer to have legs and be able to walk and lose half a buttock than to die.”
