SyFy’s ‘Sharknado 3’ Snaps Up Bo Derek, Mark Cuban, Ann Coulter, Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Jerry Springer [Video]

Eager to plunge into the plot of Sharkado 3? The SyFy network announced additions to the cast, as well as some twists and turns for the shark tornado they hope viewers will be sucked into, reported Yahoo News.

Mark Cuban, known as the determined Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank entrepreneur co-star, will portray the nation’s president. Serving as his vice-president is Ann Coulter, famed for her conservative views.

Others in the cast (in addition to the sharks) are Bo Derek, who will portray featured actress Tara Reid’s mom, talk show host Jerry Springer as a tourist, and musician Chris Kirkpatrick as a lifeguard at a pool.

If you’re trying to remember where you’ve heard of Bo Derek, get in the time machine to 1979, when she showed off her “perfect 10” body in the movie 10 with Julie Andrews and Dudley Moore, shown below.

Featured actor Ian Ziering gave some toothy news to Entertainment Tonight.

“This is where the shark hits the fan,” warned Ian. “It’s bigger. It’s badder. There’s something coming that you’re just not expecting.”

Adding to the excitement, Tara joined in.

“There are sharks everywhere. Get ready!”

Just how much can a movie about fake sharks make? Plenty. SyFy defied the odds by attracting 3.9 million viewers in 2014 for Sharknado 2: The Second One. That was a 180 percent increase compared to 1.4 million viewers for the premiere in 2013 of the first Sharknado.

Although Tara has most recently become famous primarily for Sharknado, Ian earned additional fame by appearing on Celebrity Apprentice, as the Inquisitr reported.

Although no sharks appeared, there was plenty of snapping as Ian had to work with two bickering Real Housewives Kenya Moore and Brandi Glanville.

Meanwhile, Tara is preparing for Sharknado with tattoos, according to E! News. She took to Instagram to share the temporary inking, and thanked the body painter who had created the designs.

“Thank you @hannyeisen for your awesome tattoo make up for me it’s awesome you’re the best,” Reid posted.

“Somebody really likes her new ink,” responded Hanny Eisen.

As for Tara’s views on sharks and, in particularly, the likelihood of a real-life sharknado, she wants to make it clear. Reid doesn’t stress about a sharknado coming to her town anytime soon, as she clarifies below.

However, some on social media expressed concern about how Ann Coulter might fare in Sharknado 3.

“Will Ann Coulter Be Eaten Alive In Sharknado 3?” posted @PoliticPirate.
