WWE News: Wiz Khalifa To Perform On RAW Next Week

Let the presence of celebrities reign supreme, as Jon Stewart won’t be the only notable celebrity to appear on WWE television leading into Wrestlemania. World famous rapper Wiz Khalifa is scheduled to perform at next week’s live Monday Night RAW event, per an announcement from WWE.

Khalifa took to Twitter to confirm the appearance from his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Khalifa, 27, is making his first appearance on WWE television. However, this isn’t his first involvement with the company. The controversial rapper was a part of WWE 2K15 where he was featured in two songs with John Cena. The songs were titled “Break'”and “All Day.”

Here is one of those songs, “All Day.”

The “Black and Yellow” artist and his name have been involved in some negative headlines in recent months. The source of negativity is Khalifa and his high profile divorce from Amber Rose. Amid their separation, several rumors have swirled regarding both Rose and Khalifa being unfaithful to each other as the divorce is finalized.

Despite the aforementioned relationship between Khalifa and WWE, one must question the company’s state of mind in allowing Khalifa to appear on their television programming. Not only is his name being run through the mud with this divorce, but Khalifa is a self-admitted user of marijuana with a company that sponsors his own brand of the drug.

When the COO of the WWE Triple H made remarks regarding Chyna and why she isn’t in the companies Hall of Fame, many people found his remarks hypocritical. The multiple time world champion claimed that Chyna’s past issues and her vivid endeavors are all reasons to keep her out of the companies good graces.

Meanwhile, several people in the Hall of Fame, including his friend Scott Hall, are murderers, drug addicts, and have gone through various other issues. Hulk Hogan had a sex- tape released and Abdullah The Butcher transmitted Hepatitis C to another wrestler due to recklessness. The list goes on and on.

So, when the company promotes and invites individuals like Khalifa who are alleged adulterers, drug users, and even have rumored erotic tapes out themselves, it makes the entire company look like a conglomerate of hypocrites.

There is no denying that Khalifa boasts a huge audience from the hip-hop world, and it will likely get a few more viewers to tune-in and watch RAW the next week. It seems those few extra viewers and a couple of dollars are more important than the company’s integrity.
