Twitter Users Accuse Taylor Swift Of Exploiting Terminally Ill Girl

Taylor Swift has a heart and has proven it several times. Many people expect Ms. Swift to help Jalene Salinas, a terminally ill girl who wants one last dance with Taylor Swift. People reports that when Jalene Salinas was diagnosed with a tumor, she made it her goal to complete everything she always wanted to do.

The magazine goes on to talk about how Taylor Swift’s biggest fan first went to the hospital in April of 2014 after complaining of headaches. Nothing was done initially, but the headaches became worse. Eventually, Jalene Salinas was given the diagnoses and her mom talks about the heartbreaking moment when she realized her daughter would be gone soon.

“There’s nothing else they can do for her. They told us anything that you want to do with her now or she wants to do, go ahead and do it.”

According to USA Today, her mom says that over the past few months, her family has checked items off of Jalene’s list. But there is one exception: dancing to “Shake it Off” with Taylor Swift.

“And you always say shake it off because you want to shake off what?” Arriaga would ask her daughter.

Jalene would answer that it is cancer she wants to shake off. There is no word on whether or not Taylor Swift will answer Jalene Salinas’ wishes. But since some people hate Taylor Swift, they are already accusing her of exploiting this girl to further her career.

This isn’t the only time Taylor Swift has been accused of being a meanie this week. Capital New York reported that Taylor Swift donated $50,000 to New York City public schools. The website said that Swift pledged in October to donate all the proceeds of her single “Welcome to New York” to city education. The Department of Eduction officials even confirmed the donation. However, as Entertainmentwise points out, while you’d assume many would see Taylor Swift’s gesture as an act of kindness and generosity, her move hasn’t got quite the positive reception one would hope.

According to the Daily Beast, Taylor’s legal team has gone after people, even for small reasons. Ronnie Cremer claimed that he received a cease and desist letter from TAS Rights Management that told him in three days he would have to give up his Taylor Swift dedication website. Her legal team is also trying to trademark the phrase “this sick beat.” Do you think haters are out to make Taylor Swift look a lot worse than she really is? Tell us in the comments section.
