Thief Knocked Out: Brick Thrown At Car Window Rebounds, Hits Thief Right In The Face

Thief knocked out

A thief got knocked out by a rebounding brick, and — lucky for the rest of the world — the whole thing was caught on camera.

According to the New York Daily News, a man in Ireland was trying to break into a car, but the stones that he had been throwing at the car’s window weren’t cutting it. The man decided to chuck a brick at the car, figuring it would do the trick, but the brick actually bounced off the car, and hit the thief square in the face. Surely he never saw that coming.

“When I saw him, he was lying there stone cold on the ground and his face was in ribbons,” said the car’s owner Gerry Brady, a pub owner.

The thief was knocked out cold, but Brady didn’t realize what had happened. You see, he thought that the man had been attacked, so he tried to help him. The man insisted that Brady not call for help, but once Brady realized what had actually happened, he held the would-be thief down while his fiancee went to call police. Despite several threats made by the man who got hit with the brick, he got his in more ways than one. Police actually obtained the surveillance footage that proved the man was trying to break into the vehicle — and apparently they got a kick out of what they saw.

“When the Gardaí picked him up, he started claiming that I attacked him. He was still telling them that in the station when I came in with the footage of him getting knocked out by his own brick. You should have heard (them) laughing when they saw the video. They were in stitches,” said Brady.

According to Mail Online, the video of the man getting hit with the brick he threw at the car has gone viral. Over 300,000 people have watched it so far, and many have been thinking the very same thing: That karma is a you-know-what! It is unknown if there was something inside the car that the thief wanted, or if he was planning on stealing the vehicle.

The thief who got knocked out needed medical attention after the incident. According to the Inquisitr, police are conducting a full investigation in the case of the “boomerang brick.” Thankfully, the only person hurt in this incident was the man hit with the brick. He is expected to be okay, but will more than likely be facing charges.
