What is the future for Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown? Since January 31, when she was found in a bathtub unconscious and rushed to the hospital, Bobbi Kristina has remained dependent on life support mechanisms. And now, with four weeks of staying close by her side with prayer and song, Houston and Brown family members are admitting the toll that it’s taken, reported People.
“It has been a long month,” said one insider. “The longest month of our whole life.”
And the latest developments have added to their worries about whether the 21-year-old can fully recover. Bobbi Kristina has been kept in a medically induced coma. To determine her progress, her physicians gradually sought to change that situation.
However, the daughter of Whitney and Bobby Brown suffered from severe seizures, forcing them to return her to the medically induced coma. Although those seizures terrified the family, a neurologist contends that the shift in her health also shows some signs of hope.
“Seizures indicate that the patient is not brain dead,” explained Eli Zimmerman, a neurologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. “There has to be some brain activity.”
In addition, the physician clarified the reason for the coma.
“Patients are sedated – put into a medically-induced coma – because doctors want the brain to have to do as little as possible. This way, the brain can heal.”
Because the medications used can preclude seizures, Dr. Zimmerman noted that it doesn’t require a coma to prevent a repeat episode.
“If the brain has been irritated by injury, it may go into seizures once the medication is stopped,” he pointed out. “In a situation like that, we may introduce medication for seizures that are not so severe.”
But questions remain about what occurred prior to that 911 call for help for Whitney Houston’s daughter. As the Inquisitr reported, sources have revealed that Bobbi Kristina was using heroin the morning she was rushed to the hospital.
In addition, allegations of domestic abuse and violence have emerged, adding to the battle between Bobby Brown and Nick Gordon, Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend.
Now Nick has taken to Twitter to share what he views as his right to see Bobbi Kristina, reported Us Weekly. He even asked Bobby to try playing a tape-recording of his voice.
“If her father @KingBobbyBrown really cared about his daughter. Play a tape recorder with my voice her fav music LET HER WAKE UP,” posted Nick.
Gordon also claimed that Whitney Houston had told him to protect her daughter.
“I’m the reason why my baby is ok!!! End of story,” he tweeted. “Whitney told me to protect and i did with no help.”
And Nick made it clear that he is furious about being blocked from visiting Bobbi Kristina.
“My heart is full of angry after the Browns have shut me out they don’t even know her. Sabotage,” charged Gordon.
But who is Nick Gordon? As the Inquisitr reported, he became the “adopted” son of Whitney Houston when he was only 12-years-old, after being abandoned by his mother. And although she never officially adopted him, he grew up with Bobbi Kristina as if they were brother and sister.
But then, after Whitney’s death, the two became even closer, and Bobbi Kristina claimed on social media that they were married, a statement denied by Bobby Brown.
