Music Mogul Leaves $1.5 Million To Chauffer and Doorman

Music mogul Alan Meltzer recently passed away and apparently he was extremely happy that he didn’t have to drive himself anywhere or open the door to his apartment complex because he left his chauffer and doorman a combined $1.5 million inheritance.

Speaking of the very generous gift his chauffer who received $1 million said of the mogul that he “was such a nice guy” while adding “He was always joking. He never looked down on anybody.”

Meltzer died last year after the former head of Wind-Up Records had finalized his divorce.

Receiving $500,000 was Meltzer’s doorman who said he always knew the music mogul “was a generous guy” but that “it’s a surprise” to receive such a large post-humus gift.

In the meantime the music mogul’s ex-wife is more of the heart of ice type, when recently asked by the New York Post about his gifts she said in no uncertain terms:

“He can leave it to whoever he wants to. I’m doing fine. I could care less. If he wants to give it to the bums, he can give it to the bums. He could f*** a nun. I couldn’t give a s***. He can give his money to whoever he wants. We’re divorced. The man is dead.”

I feel sorry for any guy she might marry that bucket of sunshine in the future.

Do you think giving away $1.5 million to the people who worked under him for many years was a generous way to spend his inheritance? I’m sure both the chauffer and doorman do. Also I would like $1 million to drive someone around.
