Kid Rock Takes Shot At Beyonce, The BeyHive Strikes Back
Kid Rock, the rocker from the 90s who capitalized on the rap craze, took a shot a Beyonce during an interview with Rolling Stone. Rock seems confused as to why Queen Bey has the massive following she does. In fact, he went on to say that he was “flabbergasted” by her success.
Rolling Stone quotes Kid Rock as saying, “Beyoncé, to me, doesn’t have a f*cking ‘Purple Rain,’ but she’s the biggest thing on Earth. How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock & Roll’? People are like, ‘Beyoncé’s hot. Got a nice f*cking a**.’ I’m like, ‘Cool, I like skinny white chicks with big t*ts.’ Doesn’t really f*cking do much for me.”
Beyonce’s fans were not charmed by Kid Rock’s down-home frankness. According to PopCrush, The BeyHive, one of Beyonce’s fan clubs, started tweeting as soon as they got wind of Kid’s remarks and some of them were not nice.
PopCrush reports that one fan tweeted the following response.
“It never fails. Every time these has beens are out here flopping they take cheap shots at the throne. Bey’s last album sold your whole weak week prediction in the 1st 15 min @KidRock go kick rocks. Your album is set to scan brick #priorities.”
This is not the first time someone in the music industry has taken shots at Beyonce. Last year, songwriter Linda Perry took a shot at Bey for not writing her own songs. The Inquisitr reported that Linda Perry expressed displeasure at singers who take credit for songs when they may only have changed a few words.
Perry was quoted as saying, “But, everyone knows the real truth even Beyonce. She is talented but in a completely different way.”
Perhaps, Perry, like Kid Rock, believes Beyonce’s looks are the main source of her talent, although Kid made it clear in his Rolling Stone interview that he likes “like skinny white chicks with big t*ts.” The BeyHive makes it clear that they know who has the talent.
This week, Crazy in Love crosses the 9,000,000 worldwide sales mark. It is Beyoncé’s third single to do so, following Single Ladies & Halo.

It remains to be seen whether or not Kid will try to get into the good graces of The BeyHive. Based on the continuing tweets from Beyonce’s fans, it would be hard to do.
