Kelly Osbourne Quits ‘Fashion Police’, ‘Unhappy’ With Show

According to TMZ, Kelly Osbourne quit Fashion Police on Friday after a long week of backstage drama — including controversial comments, public apologies and threats.

Kelly’s own father, Ozzy Osbourne, even chimed in with his own threat against Access Hollywood‘s Billy Bush on Twitter.

However, TMZ reports that the drama with Kelly Osbourne, and Fashion Police did not start with Giuliana Rancic’s on-camera remarks about Zendaya’s hairstyle. According to the report, Kelly and the producers have apparently not been on the same page for quite some time.

The drama started when the Fashion Police hosts and crew decided to get the ball rolling again after the death of Joan Rivers, the original host, last year.

TMZ reports that Kelly Osbourne was “unhappy” with the way that things were going (especially from the production side) since the taping of the first episode without Joan.

“Producers… were ‘up to here’ with Kelly so the handwriting was on the wall.”

In an interview with the Today show in November, 2014, Kelly Osbourne opened up about her anger over the fact that more people seemed to be concerned with the fate of Fashion Police than with how she was grieving after Joan Rivers’ death.

“I can’t lie and say that I’m amazing. It’s something, to be honest with you, I really don’t like talking about because I haven’t been able to mourn and grieve the way that I want to. Not one person that I have seen or walked up to me or spoken to since the day she passed has… the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, ‘Who’s replacing Joan?’ “

Kelly Osbourne admitted during that interview that she was starting to get to her “angry phase” of her grieving process at the time.

The news about Kelly Osbourne quitting Fashion Police comes only a few days after the 30-year-old singer and actress tweeted about leaving the show if the issue involving her friend Zendaya was not resolved in a timely fashion.

According to a recent update to an article published by Us Weekly, an E! representative denies that multiple takes of Giuliana Rancic’s comments about Zendaya Coleman were filmed. Even though there was just one take, the rep confirmed that Kelly Osbourne did let the group know that Zendaya was a friend of hers.

Kelly Osbourne was one of the original Fashion Police panelists, along with George Kotsiopoulos and Giuliana Rancic, when the show first premiered back in 2010.
