First Photos Of Aliens? Countdown Continues For May Unveiling Of 1940s Roswell ‘Smoking Gun’ Pics

Whatever happened or didn’t happen in Roswell, New Mexico, back in the 1940s, it’s nigh on impossible to deny that the strange little New Mexico town is a veritable mecca for UFO enthusiasts. Now, nearly 70 years on, UFO fans might be able to look forward to new information coming out of Roswell, and some think we could get our first look at visitors that have been coming to Earth for decades, if not even longer.

KOB4 reported on Thursday on the countdown to the release of new pictures that some think will give humankind more reason to have faith that we are not alone in the universe.

“Any kind of evidence that would provide a little bit more substantial proof,” area resident Karen Rodgers said, “I think would be incredibly exciting.

The new pictures are actually far from new. As the Inquisitr reported last month, they date back to the 1940s. The pictures were the property of Roswell residents Bernerd and Hilda Ray. Both Bernerd and Hilda are now deceased, but a 1989 search of their home in Arizona revealed a wealth of pictures.

Just what’s in those pictures? No one knows so far.

“I think it would be really neat to see,” one resident told KOB4.

“I’m curious to see how they could have remained hidden all this time,” said another. “I’m anxious to see what they reveal, if anything new.”

Current speculation centers on the possibility that the new soon-to-be-released pictures give a clear glimpse of alien lifeforms. For some UFOlogists, that’s not quite a good enough description of their import. One UFO investigator, who claims to have seen the pictures, says that they constitute a “smoking gun” with regard to alien visitors and potential coverups by the powers that be.

Still, not everyone is quite as breathless at the notion of what will be uncovered when the Roswell pictures are released.

“We don’t know that they’re from Roswell,” said UFO Museum Executive Assistant Karen Jaramillo. “The only thing we know is that they are from between 1947 and 1949. That’s the only thing we know about them that’s fact.”

Bernard and Hilda’s private photos will likely be revealed in the coming weeks, and UFO fans in the area are anxious to see just what – if anything – the couple held back from others. The photos will go on display at the National Auditorium in Mexico City on May 5. Reportedly, the unveiling will be streamed online, and a presentation of the pictures is set to occur during Roswell’s annual UFO festival in July.

Even without the pictures on display, UFO fans’ imaginations are running wild with what images might contain.

“I love aliens,” said one fan. “I think just to know that there are other beings out in the universe is really interesting.”

“I think there might be, like, a gray and green being on it that has big eyes, that’s really tall, and has only three fingers,” another fan told reporters.
