Oprah, Barbara Walters Battle It Out For First Pippa Interview [Video]

Let the bidding begin. Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Walters have decided to go to the matresses in an attemp to land Pippa Middleton’s first US interview. Rumor has it that the two queens of daytime talk have offered Pippa up to $470,000 for an hour long interview both hostesses consider THE interview of 2012.

Pippa is the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge. She recently wrote a book about how to be a good party hostess.

Oprah has instructed the entire OWN network to pull out all the stops in their effort to get the interview with Pippa.

Walters has instructed (without a little bit of begging) ABC to pay the six figure fee for the interview.

Both want to secure Middleton as a guest for an hour-long special in which she will discuss her life, being related to a princess and all the other juicy gossip only a royal family member can provide.

A confidential source close to both Walters and Winfrey said,

“The big guns see Pippa as the big-name interview of 2012. Oprah and Barbara Walters are hot on the case.”

Pippa Middleton rose to fame after she made a showstopping appearance at the royal wedding of her sister to Prince William, heir to the throne of Great Britain. Pippa has said she will donate any fee she gets for an interview to charity.

Last year, Pippa Middleton received a $616,000 advance to write a book on proper etiquette to use during a party.

Do you think Pippa Middleton will be worth the hype?
