Tracey Kahn Baby: 51-Year-Old Single Mom Gives Birth To A Healthy Baby Girl

Tracey Kahn had a baby at age 51. As previously reported by Parent Dish, the single mother of one (daughter, Scarlett) really wanted to have another child (she gave birth to a daughter two years ago), so she underwent IVF treatments again. Despite her age, Kahn had a healthy pregnancy and welcomed her second baby girl this month.

According to News Australia, Kahn named her daughter Eloise Becket Kahn.

“My daughter might only be two, but she loves the idea of a sibling. And my pregnancy is no big deal to the staff at Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, which regularly treats women over 50. If anyone else thinks it’s strange and unnatural, they’re entitled to their opinion — but I honestly don’t give a [expletive],” Kahn said back in September.

Tracey Kahn is thrilled to have been blessed with another baby at her advanced age. And while people have their problems with her being an older mom and doing this on her own, it’s something that she says that she wanted. She’s not too worried about what the world has to say about her decisions.

“I’m proof that just because a woman is single, older and career-oriented, she doesn’t have to give up on her dreams of being a mom. You really can have it all. I get criticism but that’s OK, I can handle that.”

Kahn carried her baby full term, and on February 18, Eloise was born via scheduled C-section, weighing in at seven pounds, six ounces.

“I’m beyond thrilled, the happiest I’ve been in my life. I have this great, perfect family! I’m feeling super healthy, and the baby is beautiful,” Kahn said.

She has since hired a baby nurse who will help her with Eloise for the next three months or so. For those who are curious, Kahn has chosen to breastfeed Eloise.

Some women are able to get pregnant later on in life, and while doctors do warn about potential complications, many women have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies, like in Kahn’s case. However, sometimes things don’t turn out so well. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, a 56-year-old woman named Lisa Swinton McLaughlin gave birth to twin boys last month, but she passed away just one week after the birth of her sons. She died from a bowel obstruction that she mistakenly identified as pain from her C-section. You can read about that tragic story here.
