Kim Kardashian Quitting ‘KUWTK’? Report Claims ‘Contract Isn’t Settled’
Is Kim Kardashian thinking about walking away from Keeping Up with the Kardashians?
Even though a four-year, multi-million contract has reportedly been locked in for the Kardashian family, it seems as if not everyone is happy with the offer.
According to Radar Online, an inside source claims that Kim Kardashian was actually upset by the fact that her mother (and manager) Kris Jenner moved forward with the deal without her consent.
“Kris and Kim are fighting because Kris made the $100 million deal promising Kim would be on show. But Kim’s upset because she never agreed to sign on again. Even though it’s a lot of money, she’s mad.”
The source also claims that Kim Kardashian’s uncertainties and doubts actually extend far beyond Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
“Kim has made so much money already, that doesn’t matter. She thinks reality TV may not be for her anymore.”
With a net worth of $85 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Kim Kardashian is clearly not hurting for money — especially with her numerous endorsement deals, royalties, and the success of her mobile app game. The fact that husband Kanye West has an estimated net worth of $130 million could also be taken into consideration when looking at her financial future.
According to Us Weekly, an inside source revealed the long game of hardball that Kris Jenner played with E! in order to secure the four-year deal.
“This has been in the works for almost a year. Kris is a fierce negotiator. They were not planning on leaving E!, but she was playing major hardball and threatening to leave. E! needs them.”
Even though Kris Jenner negotiated the four-year deal, the inside source told Radar that it has not been finalized yet, which means that Kim Kardashian can still explore her options both inside and outside of the KUWTK world.
“Kim may want to get an agreement to include that she can do scripted projects or she might just want to completely tear up the contract. Her contract isn’t settled.”
Over the years, Kris Jenner has been able to successfully negotiate quite a few lucrative deals for family — especially her daughters.
However, the 34-year-old wife and mother might view the contract negotiations as a chance to break away from the fold in order to pursue her own path.
