‘Glee’ Series Finale Spoilers: Flashbacks And Time Jumps 5 Years

The Glee series finale is quickly approaching. The sixth and final season of the hit FOX musical comedy series will end with a lot of emotion, and fans are both looking forward to, and dreading, the end of the series.

According to Carter Matt, the Glee Season 6 series finale will include a lot of time jumping. There will be flashbacks that date back to the beginning of the series all the way to the pilot episode in 2009, as well as a flash forward that will go five years into the future. Fans will get to see what their favorite characters are doing when they are about 25-years-old.

Many of the familiar faces that viewers have seen over the years on Glee will return for the series finale. Not only will all the original members of the New Directions return, but so will Will’s ex-wife, Teri, and some of the former McKinley kids like Ryder, Jake, Marley, and Unique.

Hollywood Life reports that some of the scenarios fans could possibly see in the five-year time jump could be relationships. By this time, Blaine and Kurt and Santana and Brittany will be celebrating their five-year anniversaries, and the rest of the gang will likely have significant others as well.

Will Rachel end up with Sam, or will there be a surprise ending and she’s actually with Jessie St. James, who has been confirmed to be back for the series finale? If Rachel doesn’t end up with Sam, will he and Mercedes finally be together?

It will also be interesting to see if Will and Emma have any more children and if Will is back as full-time teacher and glee club leader at McKinley. This is the storyline that Teri will be in as well, and fans haven’t seen anything out of her in a few years. Maybe she’s remarried and doing well, or maybe she’s still as crazy as ever.

Of course, the endgame is Lea Michele’s character, Rachel Berry. What will she do with her life and who she will end up with since her longtime love, Finn Hudson, played by Cory Monteith, isn’t there to share her happy ending. Monteith, who was Michele’s real-life boyfriend, died in 2013 from a heroin overdose, and the writers killed his character, Finn, as well.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lea Michele took Finn’s framed jersey from the Glee set on the last day of filming.
