‘Destiny: House Of Wolves’ Leak Reveals New Social Space, Quests

The just released Destiny 1.1.1 patch has already been datamined by fans of the PlayStation and Xbox game to discover some new information for the House of Wolves expansion, along with some old information too. The second add-on to the PlayStation and Xbox shooter looks to add a new Tower-like social space and quests in addition to the previously revealed new missions, strike, and multiplayer maps.

Reddit user megamanexe4 posted various images to the Destiny sub-Reddit he was able to access from his copy of the game. He was the source of the last House of Wolves leak that confirmed the new light levels and a host of new weapons. Megaman’s information was backed up by information datamined by DestinyDB following the 1.1.1 patch.

Destiny Reef Social Space (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The most interesting part of the leak is the news that the Reef will serve as a second social space in Destiny. This area will support up to 16 players and will likely be where you go to get bounties and quests from the Queen and other NPCs.

The real question is whether there will be additional vendors and factions located here for players to interact with. There’s also an open question about whether the Vault, the player’s storage locker, will be available here and if it will just be an extension of the Tower Vault or treated as a separate space.

The Reef social space was likely shown off at the 1:22 mark in this official Destiny video prior to the game’s launch last year. The screenshot at the top shows a brief glimpse of the area. You can see some Guardians walking in the background and a Fallen soldier off to the left side of the screen.

Destiny House of Wolves Quest (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The new story missions for The House of Wolves are currently named the following but do not have a description yet. Note though that Bungie is still working on these and they can change at any time prior to release. However, we do get an idea of what level you will need to be to complete.

Meanwhile, the quest names are currently placeholders. However, this does appear to confirm that The House of Wolves will be structured similarly to The Dark Below with three quests that can be completed for a reward.

Destiny House of Wolves Strike - Belly of the Beast (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The House of Wolves Strike received a name change to Belly of the Beast. This takes place on the moon and the description also matches what some of the videos floating around have shown of players finding a way to glitch their way into the Strike area.

A Fallen Wolfship holding an infamous Walker has touched down in the Ocean of Storms. Breach the Ketch and see to this Walker’s end.

Destiny House of Wolves Inferno Rumble - Belly of the Beast (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360)

The new Inferno Crucible matches also got a peek, but it is hard to discern whether some or all will be released before The House of Wolves launches in the second quarter. Planet Destiny states that Inferno Control will be playable for a week starting March 3.

The Inferno playlists remove super abilities and radar. They also sport “simplified scoring” by counting kills only.

For those who don’t know, the Arena will be the new Raid and is set on the Reef. All indications are that this will go up to light level 34 for Hard Mode difficulty. There will also be a new Strike playlist starting at level 28 called “Vanguard Dragon.”
