Lisa Rinna Divorce? Harry Hamlin Nearly Called It Quits Over ‘RHOBH’

Lisa Rinna almost didn’t join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In a new interview, the soap star revealed her husband, Harry Hamlin, was completely against the idea just years ago.

According to a February 25 report by the U.K.’s Daily Mail, Rinna spoke of her husband and the show during an appearance on Live! with Kelly & Michael.

“I went to Harry and said I’m thinking about [doing RHOBH] and he looked at me and said, ‘If you do this show, I’ll divorce you.'”

Lisa Rinna’s name has been thrown around for years as a potential cast member. In fact, her name has been making reports nearly since the series started. However, up until Season 5, she continuously denied the reports, and now fans know why.

While many would have been frustrated at their husband’s refusal to let them join a show, Lisa Rinna was okay with passing on the opportunity.

“I walked away and was done with it. Actually, I was done with the show idea. And he comes to me a day later and he goes — and you’ve met him, he’s very mellow, very low-key — and he said, ‘I’ve thought about this and I think it’ll be a good idea if you did it.’ He went through it. And I was like ‘Okay.’ And there you are!”

Ahead of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5, it was announced that Lisa Rinna, along with fellow soap star Eileen Davidson, would be joining the series for Season 5, replacing axed cast members Joyce Giraud and Carlton Gebbia.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Lisa Rinna’s husband is the target of a nasty rumor on the upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In a Bravo sneak peek at Monday’s show, Rinna is seen lunging at Kim Richards, and pouring a glass of wine on her, after she accuses Hamlin of cheating on his wife.

Lisa Rinna and Richards’ relationship has been strained since early on in the season, and after Richards made the allegation against Hamlin, things took a serious turn for the worse.

“Don’t you ever go after my f**king husband,” Rinna yelled at Richards in the sneak peek.

Rinna and Richards were eventually taken away from each other, but their feud appears far from over.
