Jessa Duggar On Christians That Don’t Believe In Hell: ‘Your God Doesn’t Exist’
Jessa Duggar had some harsh words for some Christians with selected beliefs.
The faithful evangelical Baptist decided to take to her Facebook page to speak about her beliefs, and to let her followers in on what she called “a hard truth.” In addition to the topic of hell, she discussed sin and judgement. The 19 Kids and Counting star opened her letter to her followers with a specific verse in mind.
Jessa Duggar-Seewald started the letter with a popular quote from Matthew 7:1 before she got into what she was trying to convey to people.
“I do not write this because I think that it will bring me popularity. It won’t. But it is Truth from the Word of God: the Bible. To not tell people this is to hide the truth from them. To keep silent is to not care for their eternal destiny! I care about you, and this is why I am speaking out!”
Duggar put a spotlight on people who cherry pick what to believe in, and still claim that they’re Christians. Her first example dealt with a person that doesn’t live a lifestyle that correlates with the Bible, but doesn’t believe their God is angry with them.
Within the example Jessa writes, “The person speaking this is right– their god is not angry with them. He can’t be, because he doesn’t exist. They are not talking about the God of the Bible. They have created a god in their own mind to suit themselves. They have removed any notion of the Justice of God, and have created a god of their imagination that they can be comfortable with.”
She continued, “The Bible teaches that God is a Just Judge, and He must punish sin. Every one of us have broken God’s law, and hell is our deserved punishment.”
There’s no clear indication on why Jessica Duggar decided to preach her belief, other than the reality star’s initial introduction that she cares about people enough to spread the word.
